I'm still looking for a very clean JD 955 w/ or w/o 70A loader. Prefer one with no more than 600 hours or so and within a reasonable distance to central Indiana. No rental units please. I have have been checking the classifieds on this forum, the TraderOnline, and Machinery Finder but not having much luck. Any other ideas on where to look? Thanks!

Steve check ( www.turnersequipment.com ) he had one in there with 397hrs on it however it had a backhoe on it for $19500. They are located in Fowler, IN. just west of Lafayette. Also check ( www.auto-rv.com ) under their farm and garden section, they have adds from IN. MI. and OH. Chip ....

Steve, I just saw an ad (in Farmer's Advance) for a used 955 w/ 70A loader and 72" mid-mower at Spoor & Parlin. They are a John Deere dealer in Athens, MI (about 20-30 miles south of Battle Creek). Unfortunately, I don't remember the hours. The price was $17,900 (which I'm sure is negotiable). Their phone number is (616)729-5471. Good Luck! ....

There is a JD955 in Charlotte, NC. It is a 1996 model with 170 hrs. The ad says it has a loader with an extra bucket, turf tires, and has been kept inside. The warranty is good until March of 2000, and they are asking $15,950.The phone number is (704) 542-7344.I live near Charlotte and a recently bought a JD755. I drove up to Maryland to get it...good used tractors at good prices are hard to find. ....
